Trial, activation and devices
One payment, yours forever, on up to two Macs. This page covers the mechanics; what the license legally buys is on the terms page, in plain language.
The trial
Every install starts a 14-day free trial — no card, no account, nothing to cancel. It is the full app, so the thing you evaluate is the thing you buy. When it ends, Atelier locks but never deletes anything: your workspaces and layouts are exactly where you left them the moment you activate.
Buying and activating
A purchase emails you a license key with an activation link beside it. Click the link and the Mac app activates itself; or paste the key into Settings → License. Activation phones home once — after that, verification is fully offline. An activated Mac keeps working with no network at all, forever.
Two Macs, moved in seconds
A license activates on up to 2 Macs — a laptop and a desktop is the case it was priced for. Moving is instant: deactivate on one Mac and the slot frees up immediately. Reinstalling macOS, or upgrading the same Mac, does not consume a slot. If a machine died before you could deactivate it, email us and we release the seat.
What the license covers
Atelier 1, in full: every release through the whole 1.x series, delivered by the app's own updater. It never expires and there is nothing to renew. A future Atelier 2 would be a separate purchase, discounted for owners — and if that day comes, your Atelier 1 keeps working regardless.
Requirements, stated before you pay
Apple Silicon (M1 or later) on macOS 13 Ventura or newer. It is a native arm64 app and does not run on Intel Macs. The trial needs no card precisely so you can confirm it runs on your machine before paying anything.
Refunds
14 days, no questionnaire — the same window as the trial. The exact promise, and everything else the purchase includes, is written down on the terms page rather than here, so there is exactly one place it can be true.
